Custom Logo and Artwork Cupcake Toppers

Send us your logo, your mascot, or any artwork, and we print, cut, and fully assemble each topper so it arrives ready to go on the frosting. Orders run from ten for a staff lunch to a few thousand for a gala. Also sold as logo cake toppers and custom cupcake picks.

It doesn't have to be a logo

A logo is the most common thing people send, but anything you can send as a file works:

An alternative to edible printing

Custom edible printing requires a bakery that offers it, a minimum order, and their production schedule, and the per-unit cost climbs once you're into the hundreds. With toppers, you order cupcakes from any caterer or bakery you already use and add the branding at the table. The print is sharper than frosting printing, and the cost per unit drops as the order grows.

How ordering works

Your total is your number of unique designs times copies per design. A single design with 1,000 copies gives you 1,000 toppers. For more than one design, add each design and set the copies for each. The running total updates as you go, so you'll see the exact count before checkout.

Artwork guidelines

A topper is about the size of a large coin, so artwork behaves differently here than on a banner or a sign.

• Square artwork fits best. A long, wide design has to shrink so far to fit the width that nothing stays readable. For logos, the version you'd use as a profile picture or an app icon is usually the right one.
• Leave off small text. Taglines, phone numbers, and web addresses won't read at this size.
• Thin lines and fine detail get lost. If you have a simplified or one-color version, send that.
• Vector files print cleanest. Ask your designer for a .ai, .eps, .pdf, or .svg. Without one, send the largest, clearest version you have, ideally a PNG with a transparent background.
• Don't use the logo from your website. It's sized for a screen and too small to print well.

How they're made

Each topper is printed on premium glossy cardstock with UV ink, then trimmed to shape with a digital die cutter. A clean white edge separates your artwork from frosting of any color.

Toppers arrive fully assembled on a 3.5" bamboo skewer, attached with double-sided food-safe glue dots, so no glue touches the food. Bamboo skewers handle more easily and hold better than toothpicks, which is useful when a catering team is setting out a thousand of them. Toppers and skewers are handled with gloves at sanitized workstations.

Printed, assembled, and shipped from our San Diego, CA studio within 2 business days. Large orders may need additional production days.

Good to know

• Paper, not edible. These are printed paper toppers on a skewer, not edible or frosting-printed. Pass that along to whoever runs catering.
• Cupcakes not included.
• You need the rights to what you send. Your own logo or artwork, your institution's marks if you're ordering on its behalf, or anything you have permission to print. We can't print trademarked logos or licensed characters that aren't yours.
