Why order instead of making your own

Printable straw templates mean fighting your home printer, cutting around fur by hand, and gluing everything to paper straws the night before the party. Fur is the hardest edge to cut cleanly, and a rough cut is the first thing people notice. We handle the cropping, the cutting, and the assembly, so the straws look professionally made rather than homemade.

Please don't crop the photo yourself. We handle all cropping and formatting so your dog's face sits correctly on the straw.

Getting the best photo of your pet

Faces are sized up to 2" on the longest side, which is small, so the photo matters more here than on a larger prop.

• Get down to their level. A photo taken at eye height reads better than one shot from above.
• Front facing, with both eyes visible. Profiles and over-the-shoulder shots lose the expression at this size.
• Light matters most for dark fur. Black, chocolate, and dark brindle coats lose detail in dim rooms. Shoot near a window or outdoors.
• Close up, with the face filling the frame. Full body and action shots shrink the face too far to read at 2".
• Snout shape changes the crop. Long snouted breeds are usually measured top to bottom, while wide or flat faced dogs and most cats may be measured left to right.
• Hold a treat above the camera if you need your dog looking forward.

High-resolution photos print best. Phone photos work well as long as they're clear and not blurry.

How they're made

• Professional print quality. Printed on high-quality glossy poster paper with UV ink for vibrant color that resists smudging and photographs well.
• Precision die-cut shape. A digital die cutter produces a clean cut with a crisp 1/16" white border, which separates your dog's face from any background or backdrop. The white border also keeps fur edges looking sharp rather than muddy.
• Food-safe materials. Every straw is made from food-safe materials and assembled at sanitized workstations by gloved staff.
