How ordering works

Your total number of toppers is your number of unique designs times copies per design.

For example: 6 designs with 2 copies each equals 12 toppers total. Or 1 design with 12 copies equals 12 toppers of the same face. Choose how many different photos you want, then how many copies of each. The running total updates as you go, so you always see exactly how many toppers you'll receive before checkout.

Getting the best photo of your pet

Pets don't pose on command, so a few tips go a long way at this size:

• Get down to their level. A photo taken at eye height reads far better than one shot from above.
• Front facing, both eyes visible. Profiles and over-the-shoulder shots lose the expression that makes these fun.
• Good light matters most for dark fur. Black and dark brown coats lose detail in dim rooms, so shoot near a window or outside if you can.
• Close up, face filling the frame. Avoid full body or action shots, since one face reads best on a small topper.
• Snout shape changes the fit. Long snouted breeds fill the frame differently than flat faced ones, and both look great, they just crop differently.
• Hold a treat above the camera. The classic trick for a front facing look, and it works.

Phone photos work great as long as they're clear and not blurry.

Why order instead of DIY

Printable pet topper templates sound easy until you're fighting your home printer, cutting around fur by hand, and gluing everything to toothpicks the night before the pawty. We do all of it for you: professional printing, clean die-cutting, and full assembly on ready-to-use skewers, so you can skip the mess and just decorate.

How they're made

Each topper is printed on premium glossy cardstock with UV ink for bright, photo-quality color, then precisely trimmed to shape with a digital die cutter. Photos are 2.5" tall with a 1/8" white trim, which keeps fur edges crisp and stands out against frosting of any color. Add extra fun with one of our optional hat designs, because a party hat on a dog never gets old.

Every topper comes fully assembled on a 3.5" bamboo skewer, attached with food-safe glue dots for a clean look and no messy glue on your treats. Bamboo skewers are easier to handle and hold the topper in place far better than toothpicks or lollipop sticks. Toppers and skewers are handled with gloves at sanitized workstations.

• Photo (non-edible) toppers. These are printed paper toppers on a skewer, not edible or frosting-printed. They're decoration for the humans' treats, so keep them out of reach of the guest of honor.
